MetaComp at TOKEN2049 Singapore

On the Stage

Agentic finance needs more than capable AI. Trust has to be built into the infrastructure.

At TOKEN2049 Singapore, MetaComp Co-President Tin Pei Ling took to the BIT Stage to speak on “Trust in an Era of Programmable Money and Agentic AI,” exploring how financial infrastructure must evolve as AI agents begin to make decisions and act on behalf of businesses.

For MetaComp, a Singapore-headquartered payments company licensed by the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) as a Major Payment Institution, this is a practical question: how can agents act while remaining identifiable, authorised and subject to oversight? Three areas are essential: identity and authority, so each agent has a distinct identity linked to its owner with clear permissions and limits; ongoing oversight, so agent behaviour is monitored for risks and anomalies; and ecosystem governance, so controls account for how agents interact with institutions, other agents and third parties.

On The Ground

MetaComp brought StableX KYA to Amazon Web Services (AWS)’s space at TOKEN2049 Singapore: a live demonstration of how agent identity, permissions and monitoring support accountable agent activity. The demo prompted conversations with businesses and financial institutions about the opportunities, and the practical considerations, as agentic payments develop.

These principles inform MetaComp’s StableX Know Your Agent (KYA) Framework, the identity and governance foundation of the StableX Agentic Network. It sits alongside AgentX, the skills layer that enables AI agents to act across Web2.5 finance, and VisionX, MetaComp’s risk intelligence and compliance solution.

Agentic Finance Needs Infrastructure, Not Just Capable AI

Agentic Finance Needs Infrastructure, Not Just Capable AI

Delegating an action to AI does not transfer accountability. The people and institutions responsible must remain accountable for decisions and outcomes. The goal is to enable agents to act with greater autonomy while keeping identity, permissions, oversight and accountability in view.

Thank you to AWS for giving MetaComp the space to share this work with the TOKEN2049 community.
